Piercings for Everyone

At Rubi’s, our objective is to provide safe, ethical, and affordable piercings to Watertown and the surrounding Boston area. Every client is welcome regardless of age, race, gender, or ability. Body piercing is an exciting form of self-expression that everyone is welcome to experience.

Our Staff:

Madison Trubiano (she/her) is a professional piercer with 9 years of experience in high-end piercing studios. She stays up-to-date with the most recent piercing education and techniques by attending the Association of Professional Piercers conference each year. She’s a huge piercing nerd and is always happy to go into detail about her sterilization techniques, jewelry materials, or piercing techniques.

Madison’s focus is to create a safe and judgment-free zone for all of her clients. She is also a trauma-informed provider and prioritizes client consent/comfort throughout each step of the piercing process.

Caitlin Westgate (she/they) is a member of our front desk staff. Outside of Rubi’s she is a yoga teacher, pet sitter, and sound healer with an entrepreneurial spirit. She was guided to join Rubi’s staff after being a long-term client and friend  of Madison’s. She’s loved witnessing Madison’s journey with founding Rubi’s Piercing, and is excited to be a part of the continuing evolution and expansion. Caitlin enjoys the way that healing and the tradition of piercing intersect. She loves when people get a new piercing to mark a special moment in their life, a new beginning, relationship, etc. Her favorite gemstone is Garnet for its connection to magic, passion, and protection – plus, it’s the stone on her engagement ring (add non-traditional to the list of her descriptors!). At home, Caitlin spends time with her husband and her 2 cats and 4 chinchillas. You’ll often find her connecting to the fairies and other nature spirits in her stone labyrinth.

Nikki DeYoung (she/her) is a professional piercer with four and a half years of experience. She loves adorning clients' bodies with jewelry, gems. gold and titanium pieces. She enjoys working with individuals and listening to their stories and piercing goals. She stays up-to-date with certifications and licenses to provide the highest standards of care.

She's a newly joined member of the APP and looks forward to collaborating with you.

Sterilization

We’re not messing around- we take cleanliness extremely seriously at Rubi’s! All of the jewelry, tools, and supplies for your piercing are single-use and sterilized right in front of you in our STATIM 2000 autoclave. We are a 100% disposable piercing studio, so any supplies used during your piercing will be discarded immediately after each piercing.

Our sterilizer is monitored during each cycle with a 3M Steam Indicator to ensure it is working properly for each cycle. We also have our sterilizer spore tested weekly by a lab!

Our piercers follow a 100% sterile technique while piercing, to ensure there is no cross-contamination of your piercing site.

Jewelry

We only carry the highest-quality body jewelry available. We stick with what works!

Rest assured, all of our jewelry is Implant Grade Titanium and 14k gold. This can be considered hypoallergenic and is ALWAYS free from nickel. Our jewelry prices start at $35 +up!
